At the University of Chicago, Alexandra served as the President of the French Club and the Romanian Students Association. She worked as the lead organizer of the International Food Festival, Pan-CEERES (Center for Eastern European & Russian/Eurasian Studies) Cultural Night, and various fundraising events on campus. Her interest in promoting cultural exchange and education is evident in her public programs work at a Greek immigration themed museum and her participation in various education workshops for the Chicago Neighborhood Schools Program. Most recently, she engages in grant-writing and program work at her internship with a New York non-profit that connects human rights focused museums worldwide. Alexandra is a recipient of the F. Champion ward Third Year International Travel Grant and a summer language studies scholarship at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Throughout her graduate studies, Alexandra served as a regular contributor to a peer-reviewed academic journal and as a presenter at several academic conferences. Utilizing her strong writing and editing skills, she has assisted prospective international students in applying to graduate programs, focusing on their personal statements, TOEFL preparation, and writing samples selection. As a former long-term resident and active events organizer at the International House of the University of Chicago, Alexandra's deep involvement in international student affairs has granted her a strong insight into institutional support for international students at American universities.
